The FIP Postal History Commission Bureau held official postal history qualifying seminar at PHILA KOREA 2025 – 72 people in attendance!
The FIP Postal History Commission Bureau held official postal history qualifying seminar at PHILA KOREA 2025. We were delighted to welcome 72 attendees! The acting chairman of the postal history commission bureau, Henrik Mouritsen, RDP, first presented a summary of how to judge all the score categories in postal history exhibits. After that, he presented how we can improve our abilities as judges to give appreciative, useful and constructive feedback to exhibitors on how to improve their exhibits. We need to think of exhibitors as our customers, and remember that the exhibitors put a lot of efforts into preparing their exhibits no matter how many points they got. Therefore, any feedback must include appreciation of the exhibitor’s effort. I general, if the exhibitor gets useful feedback, he/she is much more likely to come back and be a “customer” at the next exhibition. The presentation was followed by two practical example feedback session starring Ed Kroft as the exhibitor and Henrik Mouritsen as the appreciative judge. The presenters and the audience had a lot of fun during this last session, and many expressed afterwards that the presentations and the practical demonstration had been very useful for them. We are looking forward to the next opportunity to give a seminar at upcoming FIP exhibitions.
